Tone Audio Reviews the DeMag and DFV-1 LP Flattener:
"Furutech Saves the Day! Two Must Have Accessories for the Hardcore Vinyl
Enthusiast!"
7/9/2008—"The damn thing works," says Jeff Dorgay of the DeMag. "I came away feeling
that the music sounded smoother and more open ... diminished grain is exactly how I would describe
the effect that the Furutech DeMag has on a recording. ... highly recommended." When it comes to
the DFV-1 LP Flattener, Jeff is no less enthusiastic. "Now that I have one in my arsenal, it's great to
haggle with used record store owners, exclaiming how warped said record is. If the store is pretty full,
the proprietor will usually knock the price in half just to get rid of me! At this pace ... the DFV-1 will
have paid for itself by the end of the year. Those of you with voracious appetites for vinyl will find
this little gadget indispensable."

SoundStageAV.com Reviews the DeMag and DFV-1 LP Flattener:
"The DFV-1 flattened any warped LP I threw at, no matter the weight or warping,
and did so without damaging the LP in any way I could see or hear."
7/9/2008 Update —"The LP flattener, if you’ll pardon the pun,
just flat-out works. I now consider the deStat a mandatory accessory for any
self-respecting audiophile who wants to extract the best from his music. It
brought improvements to both digital and analog media in equal proportions. I
plan to keep it around my house so I never have to wonder what I might be
missing with any kind of disc I spin. From the first record to the last, all were
made perfectly flat after a spell in the DFV-1."

Even CNET loves the DFV-1 Record Flattener!
7/9/2008 Update —"Furutech's
DFV-1 Record Flattener uses heat and compression to 'iron' warps smooth and
flat. The device clamps the record, slowly applies heat and gentle pressure, and
finally cools the record. The DFV-1, reviewed in Stereophile magazine by Michael
Fremer. "He found the DFV-1 performed as advertised and completely flattened his
warped platters," Steve reports.

And 6moons.com won't leave it alone either!
7/9/2008 Update —"The
Furutech DFV-1 performed exactly as advertised and I can say that I wouldn't
change a thing about it. It seems awfully well built and as long as the heating
elements keep heating, the device should last a lifetime... For the vast
majority of minor warps and concentricity idiosyncrasies (say that five times!)
you're likely to encounter, the DFV-1 gets an enthusiastic recommendation
for working exactly as advertised."

Furutech deMag wins Coveted Brutus Award from Positive Feedback Online!
12/11/2006You'll have to page down a bit, but David Robinson,
Ye Olde Editor at PFO has awarded Furutech not one, but two Brutus Awards! The first
for the ground-breaking deMag: "The sonic benefits of the DeMag were immediately discernable
to my ear: a greater smoothness, better clarity, and improved harmonic structure. ...
Likewise, cleaning your LPs before putting them through the DeMag is the way to go."
Furutech DeMag Review on 6moons.com
11/16/2007A must-read review of the deMag by 6moons' Drs. Marja Vanderloo and
Henk "Longbeard" Boot and their adventures with Charles van Oosterum of OLS/Kharma in Rotterdam
and the Continuum Caliburn turntable! Were they impressed? "A relative minute
decrease in the magnetic field of an LP brings about such big audible results.
It seems incredible but is very true. ... Anyone with a substantial investment
in an LP collection should at least try the DeMag. Be forewarned, however. Once
you try a DeMag, you'll never want to be without one. It really is anything but
subtle what it adds by subtraction." They found it worked as advertised on CDs and other
optical media plus cables.

Furutech deMag Review in Stereophile!
10/1/2006Stereophile's Michael Fremer reviews the Furutech deMag
in the October Recommended Components issue. "... demagnetizing an LP
definitively removed a high-frequency glaze or glare and seemed to enrich
the midband... Demagnetizing LPs works. Better yet, once a record has been
demagnetized, it seems to stay that way... And do not try one of these devices
unless you're prepared to buy it."
